CivicaScript was co-founded in 2020 by Civica Inc. (Civica Rx), the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) and 17 independent and locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) companies.
2021
In 2021, Anthem, Inc. – which operates affiliated health plans that provide health coverage to more than 43 million people in the U.S. – joined as a founding member.
2022
In May 2022, Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the nation’s largest customer-owned health insurer, joined as a founding member.
